The Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership to drive sustainable business growth and long-term financial performance. The role oversees all aspects of finance, including financial planning, accounting, treasury, taxation, corporate finance, budgeting, risk management, and financial governance while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Job Description
- Lead the organization's financial strategy and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Drive corporate finance initiatives, including capital management, fundraising, and investment evaluation.
- Manage treasury operations, taxation, cash flow, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, and corporate governance requirements.
- Strengthen financial controls and enterprise risk management.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and executive decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, investors, auditors, and key stakeholders.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of senior finance leadership experience.
- Proven experience in financial planning, corporate finance, treasury, budgeting, taxation, financial reporting, and risk management.
- Experience in fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, investor relations, or capital market transactions is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in multinational or publicly listed organizations is preferred.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Engineering, Marine, Offshore, or related industries is preferred.
