Primary Objective: To support the Head, Motor Portfolio in managing the daily operation of the underwriting unit. Lead motor underwriting team in achieving organization's objective
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for underwriting Motor Insurance in accordance to the Underwriting Guidelines and Authority limits. Provide support to BD staff within authority acceptance limit in accordance to the Company and the Authority (including PIAM, BNM etc.) Guidelines. Monitor loss ratio and review on rate, terms and condition during renewal scrutiny. Ensuring compliance of Bank Negara Guidelines relating to Underwriting. Staff coaching. Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time. Attend enquiries / calls from CRC / BD staff on system issues. Attend to DIAMOND - Pending Approval cases referred by CRC, BD staff. To ensure system's compliance of Bank Negara Guidelines relating to Motor Underwriting To attend to any other duties as may be assigned from time to time To check the system to be in accordance with underwriting guidelines. Observes referred and declined risks / cases. Provides technical underwriting support to other units. Assist superior on approval in the system within authority limit. Requirements: Bachelor Degree - . Degree or equivalent professional qualification in insurance or any other relevant discipline..

Excellent computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong presentation and communication skills. Capable to motivate self and the team in achieving goals. Capable in leading team to complete tasks within the expected timeframe.
