Job Description

A well-established international group with regional operations across Asia is looking for a senior financial accounting and reporting leader to join its regional finance team. Reporting to the Global Head of Financial Accounting & Reporting, this person will lead the reporting function for the Asia region, overseeing accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple operating units while ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the regional reporting team, ensuring timely, accurate account closures and periodic reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, controls, and statutory requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Track regulatory and accounting standard changes, assess impact, and update policies accordingly.
  • Drive simplification, standardization, and digitalization/automation of FA&R processes, including ERP alignment.
  • Provide accounting advice on M&A, financing, corporate restructuring, and new market entry.
  • Build strong working relationships with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the FA&R team, shaping a strong performance culture.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

  • 12+ years in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a multinational or Big 4 background; infrastructure or energy-sector exposure is a plus.
  • Strong technical grounding in local GAAP and IFRS, with commercial acumen
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across all levels.
  • Proven people leadership across international teams.
  • Degree in accounting/finance/business, plus a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
