About the Company

Our client is a newly ventured multinational investment group (MNC) with branches and legal entities across multiple countries. Backed by a strong parent structure, the group is scaling its regional footprint and is now looking to strengthen its finance leadership to support this growth, with this role acting as a critical link between the APAC region and Group HQ.

Role Overview

As Head of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting both Group HQ and the international structure. You will be responsible for the preparation of management reporting and GAAP financial statements for both Group HQ and the consolidated group. The role combines oversight of accounting, reporting, and controlling activities, ensuring high-quality financial information and compliance across jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations
  • Ensure accuracy of the general ledger, journal postings, and month-end/quarter-end close processes
  • Oversee closing timelines to keep reporting on schedule
  • Review balance sheet, intercompany, cash, and loan reconciliations
  • Liaise with outsourced accountants and local finance teams as needed
  • Drive ongoing system enhancements and process improvements
  • Deliver accurate monthly management reports on time
  • Convert local financial data into the group's consolidated reporting format (Group GAAP-based)
  • Gather and align inputs from local teams, asset managers, and other stakeholders
  • Leverage Prophix for reporting, budgeting, and consolidation submissions
  • Lead the quarterly consolidation process for group financials
  • Manage intercompany eliminations covering loans, interest, management fees, and intra-group transactions
  • Ensure accurate currency translation of foreign entity financials in line with group standards
  • Keep the group consolidation structure current and accurate
  • Uphold Group GAAP consolidation standards
  • Serve as the finance business partner to regional leadership and Group HQ
  • Track key performance indicators (DSO/DIO/DPO, yield, IRR, etc.)
  • Own the budgeting and forecasting cycle
  • Deliver variance analysis with clear commentary on business drivers
  • Present financial insights and results to both regional and Group HQ stakeholders
  • Ensure annual financials meet Group GAAP standards
  • Work with HQ to convert local accounting practices into Group GAAP-compliant adjustments
  • Draft technical accounting memos as required
  • Ensure local tax compliance in coordination with the HQ Tax Team
  • Manage corporate income tax filings, VAT/GST, and withholding tax processes
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors across local markets and HQ's home jurisdiction
  • Support documentation for transfer pricing on intercompany transactions

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred
  • Strong background in accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting, ideally in a multi-entity/multi-jurisdiction environment
  • Working knowledge of Group GAAP or strong IFRS/local GAAP conversion experience
  • Hands-on experience with ERP and consolidation systems
  • Strong business partnering skills and ability to liaise confidently with HQ stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating in a newly scaling, fast-evolving business environment

Reporting Line

This role acts as the critical finance link between the APAC region and the headquarters.
