Head of Production - Pharma Manufacturing (OSD)

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end pharmaceutical production activities ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements (MPRA, MOH).
• Plan and execute production schedules to meet monthly targets for quality, yield and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, cost reduction and quality enhancement.
• Ensure strict adherence to the company's Zero Defect and safety policies across all production processes.
• Collaborate effectively with QA, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning and Supply Chain teams to resolve operational issues.
• Oversee the proper handling, storage and documentation of controlled substances and pharmaceutical raw materials.
• Lead regulatory audits, support inspections and maintain compliance with local health authority requirements.
• Manage the registration, renewal and compliance of Poison License A (if applicable).
• Promote a culture of operational excellence, accountability and teamwork on the production floor.

Requirements:

• Degree in Pharmacy / Science / Chemistry or related field.
• Candidates with a pharmacist license will have an added advantage.
• Minimum 7 years experience in pharmaceutical production, ideally with exposure to oral solid dosage forms (e.g. tablets, capsules).
• Strong understanding of GMP, pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulatory standards.
• Proven leadership experience managing a sizable production team.
• Experience with handling KKM-controlled substances and regulatory reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
