We're Hiring: Head of Sales & Business Development (Cybersecurity)

Malaysia | Full-time | Senior Leadership

We want to give technically strong professionals a platform to grow into impactful commercial leaders.

We are expanding our cybersecurity business in Malaysia and are looking for a hands-on Head of Sales & Business Development to lead this next growth phase. We are not looking for a purely transactional salesperson, but for someone with strong technical understanding who wants to grow into Sales and Business Development leadership while expanding their earning potential.

This role is ideal for a technically grounded professional who is ready to step into a senior commercial position, combining solution credibility with customer-facing ownership to build pipeline, close deals, and establish market presence in cybersecurity.

What You'll Do

Lead with Technical Credibility

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers by translating cybersecurity risks, compliance requirements, and technical solutions into clear business outcomes
  • Lead technical and commercial discovery sessions with CISOs, IT, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders
  • Shape solution architectures and service approaches in collaboration with SOC, engineering, and delivery teams

Own Sales & Business Development End-to-End

  • Personally drive the full sales lifecycle: prospecting, qualification, solution design, proposal development, negotiation, and closure
  • Position and sell cybersecurity services such as SOC / MSSP, VAPT, ISMS / ISO 27001 advisory, and compliance-driven security solutions
  • Balance technical depth with commercial decision-making to close complex, high-trust deals

Build Market Presence & Partnerships

  • Develop strong relationships with enterprise and regulated-industry customers
  • Build and activate partnerships with audit firms, system integrators, and technology partners to expand reach
  • Provide continuous market feedback to refine offerings, pricing, and go-to-market strategy

Lay the Foundation for Scale

  • Establish repeatable sales motions, use cases, and reference customers
  • Contribute to the hiring and mentoring of future sales and presales team members as the business scales

Who We're Looking For

Must-Have

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in IT / cybersecurity sales or business development
  • Proven hands-on closing experience in the Malaysian market
  • Strong understanding of how cybersecurity is sold locally (compliance, trust, risk-based selling)
  • Existing network with enterprise or regulated industry stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SOC, MSSP, VAPT, ISO 27001, or PDPA-related services
  • Background in cybersecurity services, advisory, or system integration
  • Experience building a market from early stage

Mindset

  • Builder mentality — comfortable starting lean and scaling

  • Commercially sharp, credible with senior decision-makers
