Job Summary
Accenture Strategy & Consulting is seeking a Health Strategy – Performance & Growth Consultant to support healthcare clients across payer, provider, and public health systems in improving financial performance, operational efficiency, and growth outcomes. This role focuses on identifying performance improvement opportunities, cost optimization levers, and growth strategies, while delivering measurable impact across clinical, operational, and business functions. You will work closely with client stakeholders to design and implement data driven strategies that enhance value, efficiency, and competitiveness
Roles & Responsibilities:
Performance Improvement and Cost Optimization
• Identify and quantify performance gaps and cost optimization opportunities across healthcare functions (clinical, operational, administrative)
• Design and implement cost take-out and efficiency improvement initiatives
• Support initiatives to improve utilization, care delivery efficiency, and cost of care
Growth Strategy & Business Expansion
• Support development of growth strategies, including service line expansion, market entry, and new revenue streams
• Conduct market assessments, competitive benchmarking, and opportunity sizing
• Assist in defining go-to-market strategies and business expansion plans
Strategy Development & Transformation
• Translate strategic priorities into actionable transformation roadmaps
• Support operating model redesign, process improvement, and performance tracking frameworks • Align initiatives with value-based care and long-term business objectives
Data Analysis & Insights
• Analyze clinical, financial, and operational data (e.g., claims, cost, utilization) to identify insights and opportunities
• Build business cases, ROI models, and performance dashboards
• Develop KPIs and measurement frameworks to track outcomes
Job Requirements:
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in consulting / healthcare strategy / performance improvement . Prior experience in payer/provider healthcare environments preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Commerce or related field
• Experience in healthcare strategy, performance improvement, or cost optimization (payer/provider)
• Strong understanding of healthcare value chain and key cost drivers
• Ability to identify inefficiencies and design improvement strategies
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills (claims, financial, operational data)
• Experience building business cases, financial models, and ROI frameworks
• Strong problem-solving, structured thinking, and communication skills
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
