HR Manager (Hospitality, Penang)

Our client is a luxury lifestyle hotel in Penang. They are currently looking to bring onboard an HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function, driving people strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in dynamic, multicultural environments and is passionate about shaping a positive workplace culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent across all hotel departments.
• Partner with management to foster a positive work environment, addressing employee relations and engagement.
• Oversee performance management, including goal setting, evaluations, and development initiatives.
• Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness, fairness, and compliance.
• Maintain accurate HR records, reports, and HR documentation to support strategic decisions.
• Implement and review HR policies aligned with business goals and local labor laws.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's or HR certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive HR management experience in hospitality, ideally in pre-opening or high-growth hotel environments.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
• Proven leadership ability with experience managing diverse teams.
• Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software applications.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
