Job Descriptions
- HR Operations & Talent Management
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks aligned with Malaysian labor laws and company standards
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Design and administer compensation, benefits, and performance evaluation systems
- Maintain employee records and HRIS systems in compliance with statutory requirements
2. Compliance & Legal Affairs
- Ensure full compliance with the Employment Act 1955, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and other relevant Malaysian regulations
- Handle work permit applications, visa processing, and expatriate documentation
- Manage labor relations, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolutions in accordance with local laws
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise management on compliance risks
3. Administration & Facilities Management
- Oversee office administration, security, canteen, transportation, and general facility maintenance
- Manage procurement of office supplies and administrative vendors
- Coordinate with local authorities and government agencies for necessary permits and inspections
4. Employee Relations & Culture Building
- Foster positive employee relations and address grievances promptly
- Organize employee engagement activities and corporate culture initiatives
- Serve as the primary liaison between management and employees
5. Local Expertise & Stakeholder Management
- Leverage deep knowledge of Johor Bahru labor market, industry practices, and cultural nuances
- Build and maintain relationships with local government bodies, industrial zones, and community stakeholders
- Provide insights on local market trends and talent availability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of progressive HR and administration experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- In-depth understanding of Johor Bahru's labor market, regulatory environment, and business culture
- Thorough knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, immigration regulations, and statutory compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in HRIS and MS Office
