Role Overview
This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional with strong expertise in Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER). You will partner with business leaders across Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia to drive HR initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, manage employee relations matters, and provide strategic HR support across the ASEAN region.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and manage Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) matters across ASEAN.
- Conduct employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution while ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Represent the company in dealings with Labour Offices, Industrial Relations authorities, and Industrial Court where required.
- Liaise with legal counsel and government agencies on employment-related matters.
- Handle employee grievances and provide practical HR advisory to managers.
- Support performance management, employee engagement, and talent initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with recruitment teams to support hiring initiatives and workforce planning.
- Design and implement employee engagement, learning, and development programs.
- Drive HR compliance, governance, and continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of HR experience, preferably as an HR Business Partner or HR Operations professional.
- Strong hands-on experience in Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER).
- Experience conducting employee investigations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution.
- Sound knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and labour practices.
- Experience supporting regional HR operations is an advantage, particularly across Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently in an individual contributor role.
