Adecco's client, a multinational organisation, is seeking a HR Specialist to support its Malaysia operations. This role will manage end-to-end HR operations, employee relations, recruitment activities, and workplace compliance initiatives. The position will also serve as a key point of contact for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) matters to support a safe and compliant working environment. This opportunity is offered on a 1-year fixed-term contract.
Budget: RM 5,000 - RM 6,000
Responsibilities:
- Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices across the organisation
- Support workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, and overall HR operational activities
- Handle employee relations matters and provide support in resolving workplace issues professionally and confidentially
- Manage employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, probation reviews, confirmations, transfers, and offboarding processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure proper HR documentation in compliance with local labour regulations and company policies
- Support HR reporting, audits, and internal compliance activities to ensure operational effectiveness
- Monitor updates in Malaysian employment legislation and recommend relevant policy or process improvements
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding
- Lead or support HR initiatives and projects aligned with business and operational objectives
- Act as the designated safety point of contact for the office and support workplace safety initiatives
- Facilitate hazard reporting and ensure incidents or safety concerns are properly documented and addressed
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and internal EHS policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Minimum 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably within a multinational or fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of Malaysian labour laws, employment regulations, and statutory compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience in recruitment, HR operations, payroll coordination, and employee relations
- Exposure to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) processes or workplace safety initiatives is an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
