Position Objective
Providing support to the Contract Management team on projects, administration, and tasks related to both third party vendors and internal (business unit to business unit) contracts throughout the contract lifecycle from pre-contract signing to renewal and termination.
The intern will gain significant exposure to how a modern Contract Management function operates, including:
- The core IT platforms used
- The procure-to-pay lifecycle in a modern corporation
- Policies and processes
- Work management, scheduling, and prioritisation
- The daily operational decisions and challenges
- Contract and commercial decision-making
- Stakeholder management
- Vendor communications
Job Responsibilities
- Support pre-contract signing activities by:
- Assisting with logging both new contract and contract renewal requests and tracking to closure in the contract pipeline.
- Assisting with tasks related to the contract expiry pipeline, including reports on contracts coming up for expiry.
- Assisting with tasks related to the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including tasks to enable vendor payment.
- Using key platforms including Ariba, Sirion Labs, and Adobe E-Sign.
- Researching existing contracts within the contract library that can be leveraged.
- Supporting with tasks related to the contract signing process.
- Uploading contract and supporting documents to the contract library and vendor/contract management systems.
- Supporting with any non-disclosure agreements.
- Assisting with maintaining the contract library.
Job Requirements
- University postgraduate or final year in university
- Studies might have been in a range of areas, such as: contracts, supply chain, procurement, IT, business, or Law.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work in dynamic environment;
- Strong organisation skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Detail oriented;
- Ability to understand basic contract principles;
- Project delivery focus; and
- Ability to liaise within cross functional teams.
