Intern, Financial & Insurance Risk Management

Job Summary

To support the VP IT Risk Management with Data Analytics in establishing risk management strategies and capabilities to optimize the company's risk vs return on capital employed in-line with the prevailing regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibility

• To focus on the day-to-day collection, management and transformation of risk data while preserving a high degree of integrity of the data and the associated processes.
• To support, facilitate and coordinate the efforts towards the development of models, methodologies, data, processes, controls and platform required for the calculation, assessment, optimization and reporting based on the results of the regulatory Risk Based Capital Regime and other regulatory risk management requirements.
• To strengthen oversight and overall risk assessments at company and business unit level by developing and running quantitative risk assessments activities appropriate to the size and complexity of the Company.

Qualification and Experience Requirement

1. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in data/statistics/business analytics/ Actuarial or other related fields.
2. Familiarity with the risk management / data analytics space of the insurance industry or financial service companies.
3. attention to detail and ability to spot patterns in data.
4. Good communication skills. Comfortable with collaborating cross functionally with people from different levels, background, and experiences.
5. Ability to work on multiple deliverables e.g. SCR, IRGG, Climate Risk, etc.
