Internship - Manufacturing IT

Job Description

• Support Manufacturing IT application management and daily KLCOE operations
• Assist in the AI development, testing, and maintenance of HDD manufacturing software applications using Python.
• Contribute to transformation, simplification, and modernization initiatives
• Provide insights on emerging technologies and adoption opportunities
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and system effectiveness
• Software deployment and evaluation of users feedback.
• Work in a team with minimum supervision on a tight project deadline.

This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Currently pursuing BSc (Hons) in Computer Science or Information Technology (or equivalent)
• Good knowledge in C#.NET, VB.NET, LINQ ,Python and Winsurf
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Good knowledge of MS SQL Server

PREFERRED

• Interested in manufacturing-related environment
• Knowledge of other programming languages or frameworks
• Good in preparing test cases and executing test plan
• Ability to document requirements and specifications
• Possess full-stack development skills

SKILLS

• Demonstrate a good level of English proficiency (written/ verbal).
• Strong listening, communication, interpersonal and relational skills to develop a good relationship within the organization
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment
