We are seeking a full-time Investment Operations Manager with prior experience in financial institutions, particularly in bank, asset management, private equity, fund administration, or investment operations environments.
The role involves supporting end-to-end deal execution and operational coordination across the investment lifecycle, including AML/KYC compliance processes, transaction documentation review, and investment-related administrative support. You will act as a key liaison between the front-office investment team, the fund administration function and the legal and compliance function, ensuring smooth and efficient deal execution and portfolio management processes.
The successful candidate will be based in Kuala Lumpur and is expected to travel on an as-needed basis.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end transaction execution processes, including coordination and review of AML/KYC documentation, purchase and sale agreement, transfer agreement, and all relevant deal closing deliverables
- Conduct and maintain AML/KYC screening on underlying portfolio funds and portfolio companies, both at investment due diligence stage and on an ongoing post-investment monitoring basis
- Assist in the preparation of investment committee materials, including drafting of meeting minutes
- Coordinate and manage ongoing communication with underlying fund managers and portfolio companies in relation to reporting, investor approvals, and operational matters
- Ensure full alignment between the investment, fund administration, legal and compliance functions, on transaction execution requirements, documentation standards, and closing deliverables
- Support the preparation, consolidation, and periodic updating of quarterly investor reporting materials
- Maintain and manage virtual data room (VDR) processes, including document upload, organization, version control, and ongoing maintenance of investment-related materials
MUST TO HAVE:
- Bachelor's Degree from a reputable university in Finance/Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Mathematics or relevant discipline
- Prior working experience in financial institutions, fund management, investment operations, or related professional services
- Knowledge of AML/KYC compliance processes and familiarity with standard investment documentation and English-language legal/financial materials
- Strong attention to detail, high sense of responsibility, and good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to support reporting and presentation materials
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus
