Grow together
As an IT Solutions Consultant, you will support requirement analysis, solution documentation, testing preparation, stakeholder coordination, and daily delivery activities for DHL's customs clearance products. You will learn customs processes, system behavior, data flows, and integrations while contributing to solution quality and delivery.
Daily collaboration and requirement work
You will attend daily stand-ups to report progress, blockers, and next steps. You will work closely with business users, including Operations, Compliance, and Country SMEs, to clarify requirements and document user stories. You will also update JIRA items with acceptance criteria, dependencies, and attachments, and participate in backlog refinement sessions with the Product Owner and other consultants.
Documentation and solution support
You will prepare process flow diagrams, requirement specifications, and UI mockups. You will maintain and update SRS, JIRA, and Confluence pages for solution documentation, while supporting the project team in preparing option papers, data mapping sheets, and interface details.
Testing and quality assurance
You will prepare functional test cases and scenarios based on user stories, perform functional tests, and follow up on fixes until they meet the requirements. You will prepare test data such as HS codes, shipment data, and duty or tax scenarios. You will also support UAT execution by logging defects, validating fixes, retesting, and conducting sanity checks in test environments after deployments.
Integration and data flow activities
You will review API payloads, including JSON and XML, for correctness during testing. You will help check EDI messages, mapping files, and transformation rules, document integration issues, and work with developers to analyze logs. You will also track integration errors and report recurring patterns to support continuous improvement.
Stakeholder interaction
You will coordinate with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure stories are ready for development. You will join calls with country teams to understand issues and gather feedback, and share meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up tasks to keep delivery moving.
Operational support
As needed, you will support root-cause discussions for defects and incidents, validate fixes in pre-production environments, and assist in impact assessments for minor regulatory or process changes.
Ready to embark on the journey Here's what we are looking for:
To succeed in this role, you need experience in requirement gathering and documentation, solution design, process mapping, testing scenarios, and UAT support. You should be comfortable documenting data flows, mapping, and integration details, engaging stakeholders to clarify requirements, and maintaining documentation and solution artifacts.
You need structured thinking and problem-solving skills, together with strong technical troubleshooting ability, including SQL, networking knowledge, and basic command-line usage on Linux and Windows. You should be detail-oriented in system requirements analysis and documentation, communicate and collaborate well with stakeholders, and be curious to learn the customs domain and technical concepts. Accountability, follow-through, and the ability to embrace AI in daily work are also important for this role.

DHL is a German logistics company providing courier, package delivery and express mail service, which is a division of the German logistics firm Deutsche Post. The company group delivers over 1.6 billion parcels per year. DHL Express is market leader for parcel services in Europe and Germany's main Courier and Parcel Service.
The company DHL itself was founded in San Francisco, United States, in 1969 and expanded its service throughout the world by the late 1970s. In 1979, under the name of DHL Air Cargo, the company entered the Hawaiian islands with an inter-island cargo service using two DC-3 and four DC-6 aircraft. Adrian Dalsey and Larry Hillblom personally oversaw the daily operations until its eventual bankruptcy closed the doors in 1983. At its peak, DHL Air Cargo employed just over 100 workers, management and pilots.
