The Role
We are looking for a skilled Java Microservices Developer to join our team supporting a major initiative within the technology sector. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying robust microservices solutions, working closely with an established engineering team to deliver high-quality, scalable software.
What You'll Do
• Develop RESTful APIs using JAX-RS and JSON
• Work with source code management systems such as SVN or Git, and build tools including Ant, Maven, and Gradle
• Manage and maintain Maven build scripts, including migration to GitHub
• Build applications using J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, SQL, Hibernate, and JPA Framework
• Develop and deploy microservices solutions on cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
What We're Looking For
• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in Java development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot
• Proven experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs (JAX-RS, JSON)
• Familiarity with source code management (SVN/Git) and build tools (Maven, Ant, Gradle)
• Solid understanding of Hibernate, JPA, and SQL databases
• Good to have: knowledge of Oracle or PostgreSQL, Jenkins/CI-CD pipelines, and microservices architecture
• Strong understanding of web servers and load balancing technologies is a plus
