Job Description

We are hiring for Java Developer (Development & Support) roles based in Kuala Lumpur, joining Dexian on a contract-to-permanent conversion model to support a banking/financial services client. The team is open to junior, experienced, and senior profiles, depending on overall technical strength and project needs. In addition to strong development skills, candidates with experience supporting production systems and working closely with business users will be highly valued.

Junior candidates should have 0–2 years of experience, experienced developers 2–6 years, and senior developers 6+ years, with exposure to both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Senior profiles should have a solid understanding of development best practices such as testing, code quality, and design, and some experience acting as a technical lead. Prior experience in finance, banking, or insurance environments is preferred.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT (or an equivalent learning path such as a bootcamp). Required technical skills include backend Java development, object-oriented programming and design patterns, Spring and/or Hibernate, SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), RESTful APIs, JUnit, and version control tools (Git or RTC). ITIL certification is a plus. English is required.
