Job Description

Role Overview:

The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for managing and growing strategic partnerships with pharmacy chains across Malaysia. This role focuses on driving sales, ensuring strong business relationships, and executing commercial strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key pharmacy chain stakeholders (buyers, category managers, store managers).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all commercial activities with assigned accounts.
  • Achieve sales targets and market share objectives for assigned accounts.
  • Negotiate annual contracts, trading terms, and promotional agreement
  • Plan and implement promotional activities to maximize visibility and sales.
  • Ensure compliance with merchandising standards and planogram execution.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports and actionable insights to management.
  • Lead annual negotiations for trading terms, rebates, and promotional agreements to maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy chains on category development initiatives, new product launches, and exclusive programs.
  • Drive strategic collaborations to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure strategic alignment and flawless execution.
  • Influence internal stakeholders to prioritize initiatives that deliver long-term value.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management or Strategic Sales within FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or Retail industry.
  • Proven track record in strategic negotiations and business planning.
  • Ability to travel within Malaysia as required.
