About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Java Lead Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise application development initiatives.

This role combines solution architecture, hands-on technical leadership, team mentoring, and project delivery. You will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and management to design scalable enterprise solutions, modernize existing applications, and establish engineering best practices.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading architecture decisions, and guiding teams through enterprise software transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead architecture design and technical direction for enterprise Java applications.

Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions aligned with business objectives.

Drive application modernization initiatives while ensuring stability of existing enterprise platforms.

Lead and mentor software engineers through technical coaching, code reviews, and architectural guidance.

Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Define software architecture standards, development guidelines, and engineering best practices.

Review system designs and ensure alignment with scalability, security, and performance requirements.

Lead Agile delivery activities and provide technical oversight throughout project execution.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical improvements where appropriate.

Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide architectural guidance for long-term solutions.

Ensure software quality through coding standards, design reviews, and technical governance.

Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of software development experience.

At least 3 years in a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Software Architect, or Engineering Lead capacity.

Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Java applications.

Proven experience leading software engineering teams and providing technical mentorship.

Solid understanding of software architecture principles, system integration, and enterprise application design.

Experience working throughout the full SDLC.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience working within Agile development environments.
