We are seeking a motivated Legal & Compliance Executive to support the Group's legal and regulatory functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Legal & Compliance team in providing practical legal advice, reviewing commercial agreements, supporting regulatory compliance initiatives, conducting legal research and managing legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
This role is suitable for a lawyer who enjoys a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is looking to develop expertise in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including service agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research across various jurisdictions and provide concise, practical advice to internal stakeholders.
- Assist in reviewing business initiatives, products and marketing materials from legal and regulatory perspectives.
- Support the handling of regulatory enquiries, investigations, complaints and correspondence.
- Draft legal notices, demand letters, settlement agreements and other legal documentation.
- Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, service providers and government authorities where required.
- Assist in the development, implementation and review of internal policies, procedures and governance documents.
- Provide day-to-day legal and compliance support to various business units.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Group's business.
- Perform other legal and compliance duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent.
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum three (3) years experience in commercial litigation, banking litigation or regulatory litigation.
- Excellent legal drafting, analytical and legal research skills.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
