Job Description



Overview:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and updating effective Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental (HSE) control and practices.
  • Ensure that the Company is in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Business / Operations
  • Conducting and implementing comprehensive audit plans and procedures that adhere to regulatory/industry compliance requirements
  • Performing objective analysis and evaluation of information and facts, and connecting the dots
  • Leading, guiding, and performing test and inspections to detect Safety & Health hazards, and recommending corrective and preventive actions
  • Conducting accident and preventive Safety, Health & Environment training
  • Continuously developing, reviewing, and updating Safety & Health policy to adhere to regulatory/industry compliance requirements
  • Providing and recommending technical support to the management on any Safety & Health related policies
  • Ensure achievement of objectives in area of responsibility I.e. Health, Safety & Environment.
  • Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and updating Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures and programs.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies (DOSH, DOE, Bomba, etc.) on matters pertaining to Safety, Health and Environment to ensure compliance with mandatory regulations.
  • Assess and monitor the Company's operations, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment regulations.
  • Conduct investigations and provide report on accidents and related incidents.
  • Recommend necessary changes to reduce the number of occurrence and to ensure compliance with Mandatory regulations.
  • Conduct Risk Assessment / Analysis and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Carry out plant inspections and walk-a bouts to detect existing or potential health and safety hazards and recommend corrective and preventive measures. Evaluate and make recommendation to reduce waste and pollution.
  • Conduct scheduled HSE audit on all plants and ensure that all findings and recommendations are promptly addressed by relevant departments.
  • Continuously promote awareness on HSE to all levels of employees through meeting, briefing, training, induction and other communication sessions.
  • Consult with all departments on the design and safe usage of equipment, machinery and PPE.
  • Act as a secretary Safety and Health committee meetings.
  • Design, develop, implement and make improvements to the site in accordance with HSE management system ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Overlook the housekeeping initiatives by the extended team and ensure area are free from pest & debris.

People / Stakeholder Management
  • Leading, guiding, training, and coaching a team consists of Managers / Assistant Managers / Senior Executives / Executives.
  • Provide training to all employees to ensure that they operate in compliance with all HSE requirements.
  • Navigating and influencing multiple stakeholders across different cultures and perspectives to promote the Safety, Health and Environment awareness within the organization to achieve results

Requirements:
  • Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent
  • Must beGreen Book holder
  • Sound Knowledge on Industry and Social compliance requirements and standards i.e., DOSH, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Experience in Risk management concepts and framework related to protocols and compliance requirements
  • At least 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Must be willing to work in Sepang
