Randstad has recently partnered with a prominent, well-backed international enterprise technology group that is seeking a commercially entrepreneurial Managing Director to establish, build, and lead its market-facing commercial business in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
about the job
- Revenue & Pipeline Generation: Full ownership of Malaysia-originated revenue and gross margins. Lead complex, end-to-end enterprise deals from target list identification to contract execution.
- Go-To-Market & Portfolio Strategy: Determine target sectors, prioritise portfolio focus, and establish brand positioning against established local and regional competitors.
- Partnership & Channel Ecosystem: Build strategic relationships with resellers, system integrators, consulting partners, and industry vendors to extend market reach.
- Team Leadership & Operations: Recruit, structure, and manage the commercial team; establish sales processes, KPIs, and forecasting discipline.
- Executive Leadership: Serve on the regional executive leadership team, representing the Malaysian commercial business to Group HQ during budget, forecasting, and strategic expansion planning.

Direct seat on the regional executive leadership team with a direct voice in Southeast Asia growth strategy.
about the requirements
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of enterprise sales and commercial leadership experience, including P&L or revenue ownership at a country or business unit level.
- Track Record: Proven history of building a business, territory, or portfolio from the early stages to scale (versus running an existing, mature machine).
- Domain Expertise: Demonstrated success selling enterprise software, ERP, SaaS, IT services, digital transformation, or system integration to Malaysian enterprise buyers.
- Direct experience in one or more of: SAP Business One or SAP ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, automotive dealer management systems, rental and subscription platforms, IT outsourcing or managed services is an added advantage.
- Local Network: Active, high-level network among Malaysian enterprise decision-makers (CEOs, CIOs, CFOs).
- Regional exposure across Southeast Asia region is an added advantage.
- Adaptability: Comfortable operating with lean infrastructure and building processes where none currently exist.
