What You'll Do
As a
Manufacturing Engineer (Headgear Engineering), you will partner closely with Production, Quality, NPI and global engineering teams to deliver robust, efficient, and scalable manufacturing solutions.
Let's Talk About The Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet volume, cost, quality, and safety targets
- Lead process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and ensure compliance with GMP standards
- Support equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive automation and robotics integration (PLCs, Industry 4.0 concepts)
- Improve production flow, line balancing, and takt time efficiency
- Conduct capacity analysis and implement utilization improvements
- Lead or support cost reduction and scrap reduction initiatives
- Partner with Product Development to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM)
- Establish and maintain standard work procedures and training for production teams
- Contribute to Lean / Six Sigma initiatives (DMAIC, Kaizen, waste reduction)
Required
Let's Talk About Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Strong experience in high-volume, large-scale manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience in automation, equipment, and process engineering
Preferred
- Background in medical devices, manufacturing, or food industries (GMP exposure highly valued)
- Exposure to automation and robotics integration
- MBA or advanced qualification (desirable but not essential)
Technical Skills
You should bring a strong mix of the following:
- Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Equipment commissioning & troubleshooting
- Process optimization & continuous improvement
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
- Production planning & line balancing
- Capacity planning & efficiency improvements
Preferred
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI)
- Automation mindset (AI / IoT integration)
