Opportunity Overview

Support and oversee manufacturing activities at Teradyne's contract manufacturing partners in Penang.
Collaborate with the Supply Line Management (SLM) organization to qualify new suppliers, processes, and products.
Work closely with NPI teams to ensure a seamless transition from product development to high-volume manufacturing.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Drive and enforce strict process controls across all manufacturing operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible manufacturing processes, parameters, and control plans.
Lead the selection, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and processes for assigned product lines.
Apply knowledge of DFM principles, tools, and reporting methodologies to improve product manufacturability.
Review weekly yield and quality reports, drive RCCA investigations, and ensure timely closure with Contract Manufacturer (CM) Quality teams.
Create, review, and manage ECOs, Deviation Requests, MCOs, and RCOs.

Bachelor's degree with 10-15 years of experience, or Master's degree with 5-10 years of relevant experience.
Experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
Familiar with IPC standards and certifications.
Knowledge of PTH, SMT, and RoHS manufacturing processes.
Familiar with aqueous cleaning processes and flux chemistries.
Strong knowledge of soldering processes and process optimization.
Understanding of flux chemistry interactions, no-clean processes, intermetallic bonds, and ion chromatography.
Experience with reflow profiling and thermal margin analysis.
Experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective actions.
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment such as pick-and-place machines, mini-wave soldering systems, and inline cleaners.
Willing to travel as required.
