Material Buyer (Penang)

Your new company

You will join a global MNC who are key players in the hi-tech industries based in Penang. Our client seeks a top-tier Material Buyer who possesses the commercial acumen and direct procurement skills to manage day to day sourcing activities.

Your new role

-Coordinate material planning and procurement activities to support NPI, prototype, and production builds.
-Manage RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier follow-ups to ensure timely material availability.
-Monitor inventory status, material consumption, and allocation to maintain build readiness.
-Liaise with engineering, quality, and suppliers to resolve supply, cost, and delivery issues.
-Support new product launches by ensuring accurate material tracking and supply chain visibility.

What you'll need to succeed

-Minimum 5 years of experience in NPI, materials coordination, procurement, or supply chain operations.
-Strong Excel skills with experience in inventory tracking, materials analysis, and reporting.
-Effective communication skills with the ability to work across suppliers, engineering, and quality teams.
