Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary procurement focal point for assigned Product Lines and Contract Manufacturers, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution across stakeholders.
- Lead critical material management activities by providing timely supply risk updates, driving Assurance of Supply (AoS) escalations, and coordinating mitigation plans with cross-functional teams.
- Represent Procurement in Product Line operational reviews and task force meetings, providing material status, risk assessments, and recovery plans.
- Collaborate with Product Line, engineering, planners, and procurement to identify and qualify alternative parts that minimize supply disruption and support business continuity.
- Manage open market sourcing and Value Engineering activities to secure supply for constrained materials while balancing cost, quality, and compliance.
- Review and manage Contract Manufacturer premium requests and open market purchase justifications, ensuring compliance with procurement governance and approval requirements.
- Partner with planners and Contract Manufacturers to review allocation strategies, optimize spare inventory, and maximize material availability to support AoS requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, material planning, or sourcing within a manufacturing or semiconductor environment.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage critical material shortages, drive escalations, and coordinate recovery plans across multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with premium purchasing, open market sourcing, and procurement governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
- Self-driven, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting business objectives.
- Knowledge of semiconductor or high-tech electronics supply chain operations is highly desirable.
