Role Description The MNC Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for managing and growing relationships with multinational corporate clients. This role involves understanding clients business needs, proposing appropriate banking and financial solutions, and coordinating with internal product and service teams to deliver integrated offerings. The MNC Relationship Manager will prepare credit proposals, monitor portfolio performance and risk, and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include client meetings, regular account reviews, pipeline management, and proactive identification of new business opportunities and cross-selling prospects. The role also requires collaboration with colleagues across wholesale, business, and investment banking to enhance client experience and support long-term strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Strong relationship management and client-facing skills, including the ability to build trust, understand complex business needs, and maintain long-term partnerships with multinational corporations.
  • Solid experience in credit analysis, financial statement interpretation, and structuring banking solutions for large corporate clients.
  • Commercial acumen and business development capabilities, including opportunity identification, pipeline management, negotiation, and cross-selling of products and services.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at different levels and prepare clear, concise documentation and proposals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk awareness skills, including attention to detail and the ability to work within regulatory, compliance, and internal policy frameworks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple priorities and coordinating with diverse internal teams to deliver timely solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in business banking or relationship management with multinational or large corporate clients is preferred.
