We are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our Control Tower operations and drive service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As an Operations Supervisor, you will:
- Lead and supervise a team of Operations Coordinators in daily Control Tower operations.
- Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor shipment bookings, transportation milestones, and supplier performance.
- Analyze operational KPIs and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and operational standards.
- Conduct workload planning, scheduling, overtime, and leave management.
- Support supplier onboarding and operational process improvements.
- Participate in customer meetings, monthly reviews, and quarterly business reviews.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve logistics processes and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- At least 1 year of team leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding and transportation operations (Air, Ocean, or Ground).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Pharma, Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace, or High-Tech logistics.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or GDP.
- Additional language skills will be an advantage.
