Job Description

Role Overview:

Axiro Semiconductor is seeking an experienced, hands-on Staff OSAT PTE Test Engineer to manage our automated test equipment (ATE) execution and program stability directly at our partner manufacturing sites. Reporting to the Director of OSAT Engineering, you will be the primary technical owner on the production floor responsible for debugging test programs, handling minor software/hardware changes, and supporting our core Test Development team with real-time issue resolution.

This role requires a strong engineering background in ATE software logic and a proactive troubleshooting mindset to minimize production downtime and accelerate bug fixes during mass production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Debug & Program Maintenance: Own the immediate troubleshooting and debugging of final test and wafer-sort programs directly at the OSAT to resolve line stops and automated test equipment (ATE) anomalies.
  • Minor Program Modifications: Execute authorized minor test program modifications, limit adjustments, and test flow optimizations to improve stability and throughput without compromising quality.
  • Test Development Support: Act as the primary on-site partner for remote Test Development Engineers (TEs), assisting them in gathering datalogs, performing hardware correlation, and verifying code patches or bug fixes.
  • Hardware & Setup Validation: Troubleshoot test cell interface issues, validating that device interface boards (DIBs/loadboards), probe cards, and test programs are perfectly aligned and calibrated.
  • Yield Escalation & RCA: Analyze production data logs (such as STDF data) to perform fast Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on repeating failures, false-reject trends, or hardware contact problems.

Academic & Professional Requirements:

  • Academic Background: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Professional Experience: 8–10+ years of direct experience in semiconductor test manufacturing, product engineering, or test program development.
  • ATE Platform Expertise: Deep, hands-on technical proficiency with automated test equipment platforms, specifically Advantest V93K / Agilent 93K or Teradyne systems.
  • Programming Skills: Competency in programming languages used in modern ATE environments (e.g., C/C++, Java, or scripting languages like Python/Perl for data parsing).
  • Hardware & Diagnostics Literacy: Solid understanding of schematic diagrams, PCB layout constraints for test hardware, and standard laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters) for signal integrity troubleshooting.
