Role Description The Personal Financial Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Labuan, Malaysia. This role focuses on providing personalized financial advice and solutions to individual customers, including deposits, loans, investment products, insurance, and Islamic banking offerings. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with customers, assessing their financial needs and risk profiles, recommending suitable products, and supporting them in achieving their financial goals. The role also involves prospecting and building a portfolio of clients, conducting financial reviews, ensuring regulatory and internal compliance, and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions. The Personal Financial Consultant collaborates with branch teams to deliver excellent service, drive business growth, and uphold CIMB's customer-centric values.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.
  • Solid knowledge of personal banking products and services, such as deposits, loans, investment products, insurance, and Islamic banking solutions.
  • Financial analysis and advisory capabilities, including assessing customer needs, risk tolerance, and suitability of financial products.
  • Sales and business development skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of Malay and other local languages is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements in the banking sector.
  • Ability to work on-site in Labuan, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in retail banking, financial consulting, or sales-oriented financial services is beneficial, though motivated entry-level candidates may be considered.
