Job Description

Role: Platform Operations Executive

Contract Duration: 12 months

Budget: RM 3500 to RM 7500

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Web Application or Mobile Application support
  • Experience in Cloud is added advantage.

Responsibilities

Operational Monitoring:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies and tools to ensure the uptime and stability of key platforms and systems.
  • Track performance metrics (SLI/SLO/Error Budgets) and establish benchmarks for service level agreements (SLAs) to maintain high-quality service delivery and reliability.
  • Manage incident response plans and coordinate with cross-functional teams during crisis/incident situations.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.

System Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for performance improvements, elimination of toil, automation and enhancements across key platforms and systems.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to optimize system performance and resource utilization.
  • Implement industry best practices for capacity planning, load balancing, and redundancy to ensure system scalability and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to system optimization and performance management processes.

Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to monitoring, incident management and optimization tools.
  • Ensure vendors meet performance and service level expectations.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to negotiate contracts and service agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or a related field, with a focus on operational monitoring and system optimization.
  • Proven track record of managing high-uptime systems and handling crisis situations effectively.
  • Strong understanding of industry-standard monitoring and optimization tools, such as Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog, or AppDynamics.
  • Familiarity with various infrastructure technologies, including cloud computing, virtualization, and containerization.
  • Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, AWS or related certifications are a plus.
