Radar Pricing Analyst

A detail-oriented and technically capable Radar Pricing Analyst who supports the development and maintenance of live rating engines on the Radar Live platform. Works under the close guidance of the Radar Tech Lead to translate actuarial pricing models into production-ready rating configurations. Brings a solid foundation in insurance pricing concepts, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to testing, troubleshooting, and system enhancements within a fast-paced digital transformation environment.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Rating Engine Configuration: Assist the Radar Tech Lead in building, configuring, and maintaining live rating engines on the Radar Live platform, based on Excel rating models from product actuaries.
• End-to-End Support: Support the full rating flow—from algorithm development in Radar through to deployment of updated rates in live production environments.
• Testing & Issue Escalation: Design and execute test cases for pricing algorithm changes; identify, document, and escalate issues appropriately to the Tech Lead.
• Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting production issues and system defects related to the rating engine under the direction of the Tech Lead.
• Platform Enhancements: Contribute to Radar platform improvements, including data flow, governance modules, impact analysis, and reporting capabilities.
• IT & Cross-Functional Liaison: Support IT development initiatives impacting pricing, liaising with actuarial and IT teams under the Tech Lead's guidance.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain clear documentation for rating engine configurations, test results, change logs, and system procedures.
• Requirements Translation: Collaborate with product actuaries and business stakeholders to understand pricing requirements and translate them into system specifications.

Skills & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline.
• Experience: 3–5 years in insurance with exposure to pricing algorithms, rating engines, or underwriting rules.
• Preferred Platforms: Direct experience with Radar Live or Earnix pricing platforms is highly preferred.
• Advantageous: Exposure to live rating platform implementation or maintenance.
• Actuarial Understanding: Understanding of actuarial concepts and their application in pricing and rating systems.
• Excel Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (complex formula design and model building).
• Programming: SQL and/or Python skills are desirable; familiarity with XML/JSON is an advantage.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving ability.
• Task Management: Ability to manage tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across actuarial, IT, and business teams.
