Job Description

  • Report to HOD Manager, Asst. Manager or Section Head.
  • Manage the department to achieve defined objectives.
  • Responsible to manage productivity improvement activities on Operation Efficiency (OPE) / Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
  • To conduct and manage and supervise all PE's project and activities.
  • Conduct DFM, process capability study for product design and requirement.
  • Design & develop fixture for existing/new product and improvement project.
  • Lead to resolve any technical issues arise during NPI (New Product Introduction) / FA (First Article) preparation stage.
  • Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
  • Utilizes process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production strategies.
  • Identifying information and solving problem by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Prepare various analyses and recommendations on production capacity, efficiency, capital and support supplies needs as well as other key mandatory support items such as material, headcount, etc based on vari studies.
  • Communicates findings and proposals to upper management.
  • Provide relevant training when required.
  • Responsible to operations research, which provides methods for the general analysis and design of systems. Operations Research (OR) includes optimization, decision analysis, stochastic processes, and simulation.
  • Study an ergonomics deals with the human equation. Physical ergonomics view the human as a biomechanical device.
  • To ensure all PE activities/project are run accordingly.
  • Maintain consistent application of company policies, procedures and shop floor rules.
  • Adhere to all application Occupational Safety and health laws and regulation as will as such standards, practices and procedures instituted by the Company.
  • Any other responsibility which may be assigned from time to time by Department Manager.
  • Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or 5 6 years related in sheet metal process experience.
  • Knowledge of process engineering software systems.
  • Excellent analytical and math skills.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledgeable about metal fabrication, machining, welding, assemble and painting.
