Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and the performance management of vendors, subcontractors & suppliers.
Support/Assist both internal and external stakeholders with the development and execution of sourcing and procurement strategies.
Provide strategy and direction to the team that designs, evaluates, and provide reports on the collection of data related to the sourcing, contracting, management, and performance of suppliers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, plan, organize and put in place contracting and procurement strategies and programs based on the team's research. Present results of reports along with their relative impacts to the business to management.
Ensure all procurement activities and documentation comply with company policies and ISO standard requirements.
Manage and support end-to-end procurement activities including supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, price negotiation, and purchase order processing.
Demonstrating subject matter expertise to provide guidance to relevant stakeholders on procurement business processes including all risk/regulatory/compliance requirements.
Liaise closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery in line project schedules inclusive the supplier/contractor certification process.
Prepare purchase orders, delivery orders, and related procurement documentation, including documents required for import clearance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchasing records, pricing, and supplier information in the system.
Monitor supplier performance and follow up on delivery, quality, and pricing issues inclusive facilitate corrective action plans for under-performing suppliers with the goal to stabilize performance.
Prepare purchasing reports, cost analysis, and management updates.
Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, and responding to internal and external inquiries.
Work with service providers, multi-year contract management and playing key governance roles with outsourced vendors.
Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
Ensure all suppliers maintain a compliant contract that reflects scope of work, site list, and compensation.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
Procurement Executive: Minimum 1 year of relevant purchasing/procurement experience (fresh graduates with relevant exposure may be considered).
Senior Procurement Executive: Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in facility management or M&E engineering industrial environment.
Good negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia proficiency preferred.
Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
