Job Description:
Responsible for sourcing and purchasing approved goods and services from both local and overseas vendors.
Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with suppliers, distributors, and strategic business partners.
Attend industry events, exhibitions, networking sessions, vendor meetings, and business engagements to establish professional relationship with suppliers and identify opportunities to secure the most competitive pricing, favourable terms, and strategic partnerships.
Advise internal stakeholders and external vendors on procurement policies, purchasing terms, and contractual requirements.
Manage daily procurement operations, including planning, issuing, and following up on Purchase Orders (POs), delivery schedules, and shipment arrangements.
Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic vendor evaluations to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and service reliability.
Handle and verify supplier invoices, inventory reconciliation, and payment-related documentation.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Work closely with the Business Development, Marketing, and Technical teams to understand customer requirements and source suitable products, solutions, and services that align with the Company's offerings and project needs.
Collaborate with the Business Development team during pre-sales and project planning stages to identify cost-effective sourcing options and support the development of competitive customer proposals.
Maintain and update procurement records, reports, contracts, and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Lead and participate in ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned by management from time-to-time.
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistic, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
Candidates from the IT, date centre, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure industry will have a distinct advantage.
Familiarity with data centre environment, including IT hardware, servers, networking equipment, racks, power systems, cooling infrastructure, and related technologies is highly preferred.
Strong negotiation, vendor management, contract management, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and service agreements to achieve cost optimization.
Experience in sourcing from local and international vendors, including knowledge of import/export procedures and regulations.
Strong analytical, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and business partner through professional networking and industry engagement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Able to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage due to the need to liaise with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and business partners.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
