Job Description
This role is responsible for coordinating and completing projects on time, within budget, and within scope. It oversees all project aspects, including scoping, planning, risk management, quality control, implementation, and post-implementation review. It provides leadership to project teams, liaises with external vendors, manages project interdependencies, and resolves business and technical challenges while ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements
The Manager, Demand Management is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end demand lifecycle for initiatives and change requests across the organisation. This role ensures that incoming demands are well-defined, prioritised, governed, and aligned to strategic objectives, capacity, and value realisation. The role acts as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, ensuring clarity, feasibility, and disciplined decision-making before execution.
This role emphasizes front-end demand shaping, intake governance, and portfolio optimisation rather than day-to-day project execution.
- To manage Pre-project scoping, business cases review, pre-project planning, risk and issue management, quality control, implementation, and post implementation review.
- To provide leadership and to manage progress of demand including internal and external parties who are involved in the execution of the projects.
- To analyse and manage the impacts, interfaces, and inter-dependencies of different demand/projects; and
Key Responsibilities *
Demand Intake & Structuring
- Own and manage the centralised demand intake process for projects, enhancements, and initiatives.
- Engage business stakeholders to clarify problem statements, objectives, benefits, scope boundaries, and success criteria.
- Ensure all demands are documented in a standardised format (e.g. business case, demand request, high-level sizing).
- Challenge incomplete or low-value requests and guide stakeholders to refine submissions.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Act as the demand-side interface for external vendors and strategic partners for approved initiatives.
- Support sourcing and onboarding of vendors by providing demand specifications, scope clarity, and prioritisation inputs.
- Monitor vendor usage against approved demand, contracts, and statements of work (SOWs).
- Work with Procurement, Legal, and Finance to ensure demand alignment with contractual terms, commercials, and renewal timelines.
- Highlight demand-driven risks or changes that may impact vendor scope, cost, or delivery commitments.
- Facilitate the regulatory submission on the vendor contract renewals
Prioritisation & Portfolio View
- Facilitate demand prioritisation sessions with senior stakeholders, using agreed criteria (strategic alignment, regulatory need, value, risk, complexity, capacity).
- Maintain a consolidated demand and initiative pipeline, providing transparency across inflight, approved, deferred, and rejected demands.
- Balance short-term business needs with long-term strategic transformation goals.
Governance & Decision Support
- Support the compliance submission to comply with the bank policy
- Support governance forums (e.g. steering committees, investment councils) with clear demand insights, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Track and communicate demand decisions, dependencies, and conditions of approval.
- Ensure alignment between demand decisions and funding, capacity, and platform constraints.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a single point of contact for demand-related queries from business units.
- Build strong relationships with senior business leaders, technology teams, data/AI teams, and PMO.
- Manage expectations by clearly communicating prioritisation outcomes and timelines.
Transition to Delivery
- Work with Project Managers, Product Owners, and Delivery Leads to ensure smooth handover of approved demands into execution.
- Ensure that scope, assumptions, and constraints agreed during demand phase are clearly understood by delivery teams.
- Remain involved at a high level to manage scope change originating from new or evolving demands.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Produce regular demand and portfolio reports (status, trends, bottlenecks, cycle time, value indicators).
- Identify recurring issues in demand quality and propose process or capability improvements.
- Continuously refine demand management frameworks, templates, and tools.

Qualifications
(Basic Degree/Diploma etc)
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management / Information Technology/ Statistics or equivalent.
Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE2 certified /Agile Certified (preferred)
Relevant Work Experience
- More than 5 years of Project Management exposure with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Manages multiple skateholders within an organization.
- Familiarity with System such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, JIRA, Microsoft Project, KUBE 365, Copilot studio, ETC
- Exposure to Data, Technology, or AI-driven initiatives is preferred
