We are looking for a commercially-driven Property & Leasing Manager to take ownership of tenancy negotiations, leasing documentation, and landlord engagement across our nationwide store network.
This role plays a critical part in supporting Watsons continued growth by ensuring commercially sound lease terms and seamless execution of tenancy agreements with landlords and mall operators.
What You'll Be Driving
- Lead end-to-end tenancy lifecycle across new store openings, renewals, relocations, and expansions
- Drive commercial negotiations with landlords to secure favourable lease terms
- Review, structure, and manage tenancy agreements, letters of offer, and legal documentation
- Partner closely with Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Legal to support retail expansion
- Ensure timely execution and compliance of tenancy documentation processes
- Act as the key liaison with shopping mall landlords and commercial property owners
- Maintain tenancy records and drive improvements in documentation SOPs and systems
- Guide and support the team on tenancy administration standards and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 8 years experience in retail property leasing or tenancy administration (mall / chain store environment preferred)
- Proven experience in negotiating tenancy agreements with landlords
- Strong understanding of retail lease structures (rental terms, turnover rent, fit-out periods, reinstatement, etc.)
- Solid experience managing multi-site retail tenancy portfolios
- Strong stakeholder management and commercial negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a small team
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
