About the Team
Our Supplier Quality team works closely with suppliers, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality functions worldwide to ensure robust product quality and operational excellence. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate across regions, drive supplier development initiatives, and contribute to the successful launch of innovative technologies.
What you can look forward to as Senior Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Drive supplier quality excellence for semiconductor, electronics, and high-reliability manufacturing processes.
- Lead supplier qualification, assessments, development, and continuous improvement activities across the global supply base.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects through APQP Gate 1–5 execution and supplier readiness activities.
- Conduct supplier audits, including initial qualification audits, process audits, and VDA 6.3 assessments.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities in wafer fabrication, IC assembly & packaging, cleanroom manufacturing, contamination control, and ESD protection.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams during supplier selection and product launch phases.
- Lead supplier escalation management, recovery plans, and implementation of corrective actions to achieve quality targets.
- Drive defect reduction, yield improvement, process capability enhancement (Cp/Cpk), and overall supplier performance excellence.
Your Profile as Senior Supplier Quality Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or Quality Management.
- Experience within Semiconductor, Electronics, Automotive, or High-Reliability Manufacturing industries preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Automotive Core Tools: APQP/PPAP/PFMEA/Control Plan/MSA/SPC
- Hands-on experience with quality methodologies including:8D/Root Cause Analysis/Ishikawa/5 Why
- Experienced in conducting supplier and process audits, particularly VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949.
- Preferred semiconductor manufacturing knowledge:Wafer fabrication processes/IC packaging and assembly/Cleanroom operations/Contamination control/Yield improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and supplier development capabilities.
- Experience working with international teams and global suppliers.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
