JOB PURPOSE

Triton hosts the world's premier high-stakes poker tour, and this role is about taking our brand beyond the poker world. As our PR & Communications Manager, you'll secure media coverage across business, luxury lifestyle, sports, and mainstream media, helping position Triton as a globally recognized brand.

You'll also lead our communications efforts by managing The Triton Times, executive thought leadership, and our LinkedIn presence, ensuring compelling and consistent storytelling across all channels.

We're looking for someone who understands PR agency thinking—strong media pitching and relationship building—but thrives in a fast-paced, in-house environment where you take ownership, move quickly, and deliver results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

Non-poker media breakthrough

You will build relationships with journalists in business, luxury, and sports who haven't covered poker before. Your goal is to find the stories that make Triton interesting to a wider audience, such as the high stakes, the travel destinations, the personalities, and our high-end brand partnerships like Jacob & Co. You'll be responsible for pitching, securing, and tracking this coverage.

Triton Times

This is our main editorial project, which is a full newspaper-style publication in both print and digital. It features player profiles, partner stories, and data. You'll handle everything from commissioning writers and interviewing players to meeting print deadlines for our live events.

C-suite thought leadership

You'll ghostwrite and place opinion pieces and interviews for our CEO and COO. You will turn their regular insights and conversations into published articles, media quotes, and speaking spots.

LinkedIn as a channel

You'll treat LinkedIn as a primary growth channel. This involves managing the company page strategy and executive support to build a real audience rather than just posting event recaps.

Crisis and reactive comms

You will support our crisis communications, knowing when to handle things quietly, when to issue a statement, and when to loop in leadership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • PR agency experience is essential, ideally followed by an in-house communications role. You understand both media pitching and the realities of managing a brand from the client side.
  • Proven success securing media coverage beyond a company's traditional industry, with the ability to craft stories that resonate with new audiences.
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience in executive ghostwriting, editorial content, or thought leadership.
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn as a platform for brand building, audience engagement, and executive profiling.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance your work, with sound judgement and strong editorial standards.
  • Knowledge of poker is preferred. You don't need to be a professional player, but understanding the game and community will help you identify compelling stories and build credibility.
  • An interest in premium sports, luxury, or entertainment brands is a plus. Triton has more in common with Formula 1 or Wimbledon than a typical poker tour.
  • Most importantly, you have the ability to make a niche subject feel relevant and compelling to a mainstream audience.
  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience.
