We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Tester with strong experience in the banking and financial services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, accuracy, and reliability of applications by designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure and compliant banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases for banking applications (retail, corporate, payments, lending, etc.).
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing to ensure system reliability.
- Validate compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
- Conduct API testing for core banking integrations and third-party services.
- Ensure testing aligns with risk management and audit requirements.
- Provide clear test reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
️ Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–6 years of QA/testing experience, with at least 2 years in the banking/financial domain.
- Strong knowledge of banking processes (payments, loans, credit cards, KYC, AML, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Experience with automation tools (Selenium, UFT, Cypress, or similar).
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to core banking systems (Finacle, Flexcube, Temenos, etc.).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance (PCI DSS, GDPR, RBI guidelines).
- Experience in performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
- ISTQB or similar QA certification.
