Responsible for ensuring product quality, supplier quality, and manufacturing processes comply with customer requirements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to identify quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement to achieve product excellence and customer satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve quality documents including Control Plans, Work Instructions, Inspection Procedures, PFMEA, and quality standards.
- Perform product, process, and supplier quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
- Monitor manufacturing processes, analyze quality performance, and implement process improvements to reduce defects.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, SPC, and MSA.
- Support NPI activities, First Article Inspection (FAI), process validation, risk assessment, and production readiness activities.
- Manage supplier quality activities including supplier evaluation, qualification, audits, performance monitoring, and improvement actions.
- Establish incoming inspection criteria and ensure material quality, traceability, and supplier compliance.
- Investigate internal defects, customer complaints, and supplier issues to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and analyze quality reports, defect trends, KPI performance, and continuous improvement data.
- Support internal audits, customer audits, and certification audits while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, IPC standards, and customer requirements.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and operational excellence programs.
Position Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related technical field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering within EMS, PCBA, SMT, or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), quality tools, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience with 8D, CAPA, FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, IPC standards, and customer-specific requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in English is required; Mandarin proficiency is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in supplier quality management and audit activities is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP/MES systems, and quality reporting tools.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
