Role Purpose

We are seeking a talented and technically minded Radar Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic pricing team. In this role, you will play a key part in the development and maintenance of live rating engines on the Radar Live platform. Working closely with the Radar Tech Lead, you will bridge the gap between actuarial science and technology—translating complex pricing models into robust, production-ready configurations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a pricing professional with a strong analytical background to thrive in a fast-paced digital transformation environment. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge pricing technology while collaborating with actuaries, IT teams, and business stakeholders to drive system enhancements and ensure accurate, efficient rate delivery.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Configuration & Development: Assist in building, configuring, and maintaining live rating engines on the Radar Live platform, translating Excel-based actuarial pricing models into system-compatible algorithms.
  • End-to-End Deployment: Support the full rating lifecycle—from algorithm development in Radar to the successful deployment of updated rates into the live production environment.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Design and execute comprehensive test cases for pricing changes; identify, document, and escalate issues to the Tech Lead to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Production Support: Assist in troubleshooting production issues and system defects related to the rating engine, working under the guidance of the Tech Lead to resolve them efficiently.
  • Platform Enhancement: Contribute to ongoing improvements of the Radar platform, including data flow optimization, governance module configuration, impact analysis, and reporting capabilities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support IT development initiatives that impact pricing, acting as a liaison between actuarial and technical teams to align on requirements and deliverables.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain clear, detailed documentation for rating engine configurations, test results, change logs, and system procedures to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Requirement Translation: Partner with product actuaries and business stakeholders to understand pricing needs and translate them into actionable system specifications.

Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Industry Experience: 3–5 years of experience in the insurance sector, with direct exposure to pricing algorithms, rating engines, or underwriting rules.
  • Platform Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience with Radar Live or Earnix is highly desirable and will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Technical Aptitude:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (advanced formula design, model building, and data manipulation).
  • Programming skills in SQL and/or Python are preferred.
  • Familiarity with XML/JSON is a plus.
  • Actuarial Knowledge: Solid understanding of actuarial concepts and their practical application in pricing and rating systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and structured troubleshooting abilities.
  • Agility: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across actuarial, IT, and business functions.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a forward-thinking team driving digital innovation in insurance pricing.
  • Work with industry-leading pricing platforms (Radar Live) in a supportive, learning-oriented environment.
  • Gain exposure to the full lifecycle of live rating engine development and deployment.
