About the Role

The Regional Finance Manager – Asia is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's financial portfolio to support organizational success and growth across ASEAN markets. The role ensures compliance with legal and financial requirements, delivers accurate financial reporting, drives budgeting and forecasting activities, and enhances financial operations through process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily finance and accounting operations including accounts receivable and payable, journal entries and financial reporting.
  • Ensuring day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts and accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and payroll are recorded properly.
  • Performing timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., net assets, investments, revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, etc.), ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
  • Ensuring proper revenue and expense recognition.
  • Developing and monitoring departmental, project, and organizational budget; assisting with monthly financial reporting needs.
  • Develop budget and forecast and monitoring departmental and organizational budgets including providing financial analyses to support decision-making.
  • Ensure all finance and accounting operations comply with accepted accounting principle s (GAAP) and relevant local laws and regulations.
  • Continually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology including training staff to better utilize financial and accounting software.
  • Performing fiscal year-end close activities and assisting with activities and requirements of external auditors.
  • Other legal and lawful duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in finance management and accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience.
  • Regional finance experience is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and spoken communication skills (English & Bahasa Malaysia).
  • Supervisory and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong report writing and problem‑solving skills.
  • Competent in data management and analysis.
  • Ability to explain financial terms in simple language.
  • Solid knowledge of finance and accounting principles, standards, regulations, and governance.
  • Experience with financial software and overseeing annual audit processes.
  • Hands‑on experience with financial management software.
