Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor daily construction activities on site.
  • Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and relevant standards.
  • Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
  • Review and monitor construction progress against the approved project schedule.
  • Inspect workmanship, materials and completed works to ensure required quality standards are achieved.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and site problems in coordination with the relevant consultants and contractors.
  • Review shop drawings, technical submissions, method statements and material submissions where required.
  • Monitor testing, inspection and commissioning activities.
  • Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress, technical matters and site issues.
  • Maintain proper site records, inspection reports, progress reports and other project documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating authority inspections, approvals and statutory requirements.
  • Verify completed works and assist with progress claims, variations and related technical documentation.
  • Ensure defects are properly rectified and assist with final inspection and handover activities.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience, preferably in high-rise, commercial, mixed-development or shoplot projects.
  • Experience working as a Resident Engineer, Site Engineer, Project Engineer or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods, structural works, architectural works, M&E coordination and site supervision.
  • Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and site management skills.
  • Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions on site.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and/or relevant construction software is an advantage.
  • Professional Engineer (Ir.) / Board of Engineers Malaysia registration is an advantage, where applicable.
  • Willing to be based full-time at the project site.
