Role Description The Retail Sales Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ipoh, responsible for supporting customers in selecting and purchasing smart devices and related products. This role includes greeting customers, understanding their needs, providing product information, and recommending suitable solutions in line with CompAsia's device circularity offerings. The Retail Sales Assistant will manage point-of-sale transactions, assist with trade-ins, maintain store displays, and ensure stock is well-organized. The role also involves handling customer inquiries and feedback, providing post-purchase support, and contributing to a positive, efficient store environment. Collaboration with the store team to meet sales targets and deliver an excellent customer experience is essential.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Customer Experience skills, with a focus on building trust and long-term relationships.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and the ability to explain product features in a simple, engaging manner.
- Retail Sales and Sales abilities, including product recommendation, upselling, and closing transactions confidently.
- Basic understanding of smart devices and technology, with willingness to learn about device circularity and trade-in processes.
- Ability to work on-site in Ipoh, including weekends or shifts as required, and to stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in retail, electronics, or telecom stores is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Secondary school education or equivalent; post-secondary qualifications in business, marketing, or related fields are a plus.
- Reliability, integrity, and a collaborative mindset to support store operations and team goals.
