Safety, Health, & Environment Manager (Renewable Energy-Solar Power)

Position Overview:

We are looking for Safety, Health, & Environment Manager with Green Book qualifications who plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, as well as ISO standards within the ERS Group. This position requires meticulous attention to HSE documentation, ISO compliance, and proactive HSE monitoring and reporting as well as overseeing the HSE department.

Documentation Management:

• Develop, maintain, and oversee the project's HSE documentation, including policies, procedures, and records.
• Ensure the proper storage, organization, and accessibility of HSE documents and records.

ISO Compliance:

• Collaborate with the team to establish and maintain ISO certification processes (e.g., ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) for the project.
• Monitor and report on ISO compliance, facilitating internal and external audits as required.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated on relevant HSE regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
• Ensure the project's adherence to all applicable regulations and standards.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Conduct HSE risk assessments and inspections to identify potential hazards and non-conformities.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies.

Training and Awareness:

• Assist in developing and delivering HSE training programs to project personnel.
• Promote HSE awareness and a culture of safety within the project team.

Incident Management:

• Oversee the reporting and investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.

Emergency Preparedness:

• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
• Conduct regular emergency drills and exercises.

HSE Reporting:

• Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management and regulatory authorities as required.
• Maintain accurate records of HSE data, incidents, and compliance.
• To facilitate and conduct Safety Committee Meetings.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for HSE process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
• Participate in HSE performance reviews and audits.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within ERS Group, contractors, and regulatory agencies on HSE matters.
• Serve as the point of contact for HSE inquiries and issues related to documentation and ISO compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
• Certified Safety Health Officer (SHO) designation.(Green Book Holder)
• Proficiency in ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong documentation management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of solar energy project installation processes is a plus.
