The Role
This is a Salesforce QA Engineer opportunity embedded within a large-scale enterprise Salesforce program at a leading higher education institution. Working across multiple business applications and delivery streams, you will own the end-to-end quality assurance function, validating Salesforce configurations, custom development, workflows, and integrations to ensure stable, high-quality releases. Collaborating closely with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners in an Agile delivery environment, you will bring rigour to every stage of the testing lifecycle and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA practices across the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for Salesforce applications, validating configurations, workflows, custom development, and integrations across multiple business streams.
- Analyse business and functional requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios aligned to program delivery goals and release milestones.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across Salesforce platforms, supporting release planning and coordinating quality assurance activities for production deployments.
- Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects through to resolution, providing clear and timely communication of testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and documentation, embedding best-practice testing approaches and contributing to a high-quality Agile delivery culture across the program.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven commercial experience as a QA Engineer or Test Analyst on Salesforce platforms, with a strong understanding of Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud configuration, custom development, validation rules, and integrations.
- Demonstrated experience preparing test strategies, test plans, test cases, and defect reports, with a solid working knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Agile delivery practices.
- Hands-on proficiency with defect and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar, with the ability to produce clear, actionable quality reporting for cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate testing outcomes and quality risks clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Malaysian Citizen or holder of a valid Malaysian Residence Pass Talent (RP-T); Salesforce Administrator certification, ISTQB Foundation, or experience in higher education or enterprise environments is highly regarded.
