Sales Designer (Commercial Interior Design)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sales Designer to join our growing Interior Design & Build business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships, understanding project requirements, proposing suitable design solutions and driving projects from initial enquiry through to project confirmation.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded designer who enjoys combining design, client consultation and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
• Identify and follow up on new business opportunities within the commercial interior design and fit-out market.
• Meet clients to understand their business needs, space requirements, design preferences and budget.
• Conduct site visits and gather project requirements.
• Prepare design concepts, space planning and design proposals based on client requirements.
• Present design concepts, proposals and quotations to clients.
• Manage the sales process from lead generation -> client consultation -> design proposal -> quotation -> negotiation -> project confirmation .
• Follow up with clients and actively convert leads into confirmed projects.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing, project scope and commercial terms.
• Work closely with the design, project and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical and commercially viable.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on project progress and opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and other relevant stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with market trends, competitors and commercial interior design developments.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Design, Business or related disciplines .
• Min 1 year of relevant experience in commercial interior design / interior fit-out projects .
• Experience handling office, retail, F&B, hospitality, showroom or other commercial projects will be an advantage.
• Strong experience in client consultation, presentation and proposal preparation.
• Able to understand client requirements and translate them into practical design solutions.
• Comfortable handling quotations, pricing discussions and negotiations.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to balance design requirements, client expectations and project budget .
• Able to work independently as well as collaborate with internal teams.
• Proficient in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D rendering software or similar .
• Willing to attend client meetings and site visits when required.
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence would be an advantage.
