Job Description


We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Engineer to manage and grow business within the panel builder segment. This role involves developing strong partner relationships, driving sales opportunities, and supporting end-to-end project execution across the electrical solutions ecosystem.

Our client is a leading global multinational specializing in energy management and industrial automation solutions. With a strong presence across multiple industries, the company focuses on delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable technologies that help organizations optimize performance and drive digital transformation.

Location: Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Work Mode: Hybrid

Key responsibilities: 

  • Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with panel builders, distributors, and key stakeholders
  • Drive sales activities and execute strategies to achieve revenue targets within the assigned segment
  • Promote and support the sales of electrical products such as circuit breakers, contactors, relays, power meters, drives, and related solutions
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, technical, and supply chain) to ensure full project and customer coverage
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand existing accounts through effective engagement
  • Prepare and deliver sales quotations, proposals, and technical documentation
  • Monitor and maintain an accurate pipeline of opportunities, providing regular updates to management
  • Evaluate bid opportunities and conduct feasibility assessments for project participation
  • Coordinate order processing, documentation, logistics, and financial requirements with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure timely follow-up on customer inquiries, orders, and project execution


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the electrical, mechanical, or industrial sector
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
